4. TLS Committee Appointment
ECA is thrilled to have our partner and Head of Intellectual Property department appointed as a committee member of the Junior Lawyers Professional Development. 5. The African Legal Awards 2020 - Best use of Technology
Our firm was shortlisted for the “Best use of Technology of the Year” having won this distinction in 2019 by the African Legal Awards.
6. Africa Global Advisory Council (GAC)
Our Partner and Head of IP, Nabiry Jumannne has been appointed to serve on the Africa Global Advisory Council (GAC) formed under the International Trademark Association (INTA) for a period of two years.
We applaud Mr. Jumanne for his notable, dedicated efforts in the Intellectual Property field nurturing our IP department. The council serves to advise the President and CEO of INTA on Regional policy trends, Membership and better communication of relevant matters in each region.

ECA was ranked as a Notable Firm in Tanzania in the 2020 Edition of 1FLR 1000’s Financial and Corporate Law Rankings.
8. INTA Committee Membership 2020 - 2021
Our Partner and Head of the IP department Nabiry Jumanne has been appointed to the AntiCounterfeiting INTA Committee for the 2020 – 2021 term. The committee develops and advocates the association’s policy regarding AntiCounterfeiting and enforcement issues through monitoring developments and enforcement of laws in different jurisdictions.

ECA is thrilled and honored to have received the “Best use of Technology of the Year” awarded by the African Legal Awards in 2019. This award recognizes and celebrates the most effective use of technology in our day-to-day activities. Our Firm is the first Tanzanian owned Law Firm to bring this award home.
