Trademarks registration and protection in Tanzania is not a simple matter and hence registration in Tanzania. Detailed law and Guidelines guarantee registration in Zanzibar, but the law are considered as different jurisdictions with different governing laws.

The Africa GAC comprises distinguished IP professionals from across the continent who meet regularly to discuss regional IP developments, challenges, and opportunities. Council members advise on INTA's regional strategy, help increase African membership and participation in INTA activities, and ensure effective communication between INTA and the African IP community. The two-year term involves quarterly meetings, strategic planning sessions, and direct engagement with INTA leadership.
