Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Trainee to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in Corporate or Intellectual Property Law, a genuine interest in legal research and practice, and a proactive attitude toward professional development. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across diverse client portfolios, working closely with experienced lawyers on matters spanning corporate advisory, IP prosecution, and legal compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents, contracts, and opinions under supervision
• Conduct legal and regulatory research in Corporate, Commercial, and Intellectual Property matters
• Support the preparation and filing of company, trademark, and other IP applications
• Participate in client meetings, due diligence exercises, and transaction support tasks
• Assist with the preparation of case briefs, client updates, and legal correspondence
• Stay abreast of legal developments relevant to the firm's practice areas
• Uphold the firm's values of professionalism, confidentiality, and teamwork

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from a recognized university
• Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice or currently awaiting admission to the Bar
• Strong academic performance and demonstrable interest in Corporate or Intellectual Property Law
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic legal research tools
