13th China Trademark Festival
The China Trademark Festival was held in Changsha, China this year. The theme was "One Belt One Road," focusing on international trademark cooperation and the development of IP protection along trade routes connecting Asia, Africa, and Europe.
Purpose
To explore opportunities for international trademark collaboration under the Belt and Road Initiative, understand China's evolving trademark landscape, and establish connections with Chinese IP professionals. The festival aimed to bridge Eastern and Western approaches to intellectual property protection.
What the Team Learnt
We learned about China's advanced digital trademark filing systems, gained insights into protecting trademarks in the Chinese market, and understood the unique challenges of brand protection in one of the world's largest economies. The team also explored opportunities for our clients seeking to expand into Asian markets.
