International Trademark Association (INTA) 2019 Annual Meeting
Our Partner and Head of Intellectual Property represented ECA at the INTA 2019 Annual Meeting, participating in knowledge-sharing sessions, networking with global IP leaders, and bringing valuable insights back to enhance our practice and better serve our clients.
Purpose
To represent ECA on the global stage, stay current with international trademark trends and best practices, and build relationships with IP professionals worldwide. The meeting provided an opportunity to learn from industry leaders and showcase ECA's expertise in African IP law.
What the Team Learnt
We gained insights into emerging challenges in trademark law, including issues related to e-commerce and digital brand protection. Our partner learned about innovative trademark management strategies, discovered new tools for brand monitoring, and identified opportunities for international collaboration that would benefit our clients.

Our Managing Partner Neema Magimba and Partner Kenneth Odinga attended the 10th Annual Adams & Adams Africa Network Meeting, marking a decade of successful collaboration across the African IP network.
13th China Trademark Festival
The China Trademark Festival was held in Changsha, China this year. The theme was "One Belt One Road," focusing on international trademark cooperation and the development of IP protection along trade routes connecting Asia, Africa, and Europe.
